GatherFIRE was created by lovers of the Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) movement who wanted a neutral and independent place to connect with other members of the FIRE community. We wanted a place that was enjoyable and free to connect for average users that is not controlled by some special interest product or service. Similarly, we want to keep a focus on FIRE ideas and strategies, versus the distractions that social media sites are flooded with daily.
Our site is funded by advertisements and sponsors so that we can make our site free to normal users, but those funding the site do not control the website content or services provided.
